During our decades of spending time in Cape May County, my wife and I never tire of visiting Sunset Beach. Regardless of the time of day or time of the year, this beach offers great views of the Atlantic Ocean. On winter days, as the sun begins its early sunsets, the views are particularly gorgeous as the evening approaches and the sunset provides quite the show! One of the remaining highlights of Sunset Beach is still the S.S. Atlantus. This ship is one of 12 concrete ships built by a Georgia company during and after World War I. One of the best sunsets you will ever see in your lifetime, a definite must visit place. With nothing blocking your view, there is no better site then watching the sun disappear inside the water.

Sunset Beach at the end of Sunset Boulevard offers beautiful views, a nice beach and a glimpse of whatever is left of the Concrete Ship Atlantus. Photo ops abound. The souvenir shops offer local mementos, as well as, snacks and drinks if you need them. Ample parking available.
