This is a beautiful beach away from the hustle and bustle. The WWII lookout tower is visible as well as a ship wreck. Great place to watch the sunset as you can probably figure out by the name.

Every time I go to Cape May I stop at sunset beach. They have polished rocks on the right side that I love to collect. They have a sandy beach on the left side that great to soak up sun and watch the sunset. The...More

Drive down Sunset Ave straight to a beautiful quiet beach to watch the sun set or enjoy the view. Not commercialized, there are only a few buildings for gifts and t shirts but they do not distract from the beauty of the spot. Free parking....More

Get a bike and ride the 1.4miles along the boardwalk. At the end you see this amazing beach, seating and a pavilion. Touch the flagpole for a trip well worth it. We were there in the morning with beautiful views of the lighthouse, lots of...More

We got there just as the flag lowering was completed, wish we could have witnessed that. Even with the number of people in attendance we were able to find parking. The beach is just so clean and free! We walked along picking up Cape May...More

They actually have a tradition of lowering the flag and honoring the armed forces and vets. The play God Bless America and the National Anthem as they lower the flag and the sun sets. There is an old ship wreck right in the path of...More

The sunset was amazing, but the beach is very rocky, so walking past all the people standing between the people watching and the sunset was difficult.

The beach is great to play on and find Cape May Diamonds, seashells and sea glass but not so much for swimming. No Lifeguards here. There are lifeguards at designated beaches in Cape May and Cape May Point beaches.
