Lovely restoration

The building has been restored. We did not have a tour just a short talk. The garden in back was lovely.

Tours are available Tuesdays and Thursdays. The staff is so amazing and sweet and knowledgable! Such an experience! Boro, the house man, was the best part!

I love walking among the garden there and seeing where our Governor and the first Lady live. I had the privilege to go to the Mansion when I was in High School for Tea. A wonderful experience for any young Lady to experience.

The first floor is available for tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Best to call ahead. There are art exhibits, the current one features works of former Frankfort artist Paul Sawyier.

Would put this in my top 5 attractions for the city. Beautiful grounds and great history. May not be accessible every day but if you have the chance to visit pair with a State Capitol Building trip.

I am an avid walker, and it's my goal to walk all of the capital cities in the US. I enjoy walking the capital grounds, and areas surrounding. The landscaping is always incredible.
