This is place is no zoo but still neat to see what all the Fish & Wildlife Resources has to manage and oversees. You get a good sampling of some of the states animals and their Habitat. Kentucky animals, living stream, Prairie and grasslands, etc. This is very neat place for kids to learn and explore about Kentucky Wildlife and... More

We stopped by recently while passing through. Our family enjoyed the indoor exhibits. The favorites were the aquariums, seeing the snakes and watching the working bee hive. We also enjoyed watching the birds, squirrels and chipmunks. However, just as we were about to head out to explore the rest of the area, the weather had other plans. There was a... More

Loved seeing all the animals, especially the wildcats. It is a great place for the nature lovers and would be an excellent place for children's birthday parties!

We have toured the Salato Center dozens of times over the years just as our family and on school trips. Salato is easy to find, only minutes from the interstate, and is a great place for young students who love animals and science. There are a variety of indoor and outdoor exhibits for children and parents to explore. Outside you... More

This was a very nice, small wildlife exhibit. The grounds were very easy to navigate. It seemed to keep the children's interest. And there was no gift shop to walk through when it was time to leave!

This wildlife center takes an hour or so to see and is very well done. There is an emphasis on conservation and the environment.

Great place to see Animals without having to go to the zoo. Not too big so your kids won't get tired of walking. We love the bear, elk, and buffalo.

They have info and stuffed and living versions of various animals here along with 2 fishing pond/lakes. The have tons of geese outside so watch where you step. The info inside is great and the people that run it are great wealth of knowledge.

We visit here regularly. It is a beautiful facility and is well kept. It is relaxing and educational and the workers are very knowledgeable. Its fun for all ages and physical ability.
