Our Quinta in Pinhao recommended this shop for handmade items made in Portugal. The selection is diverse - pottery (assorted items and patterns), blankets, linen, woven bags, and cork. I wanted everything in this beautifully appointed and well maintained shop. Prices are very reasonable - can find something lovely at any price point. Note: Credit cards were not accepted.

A tiny souvenir shop, there was nothing here you can't find everywhere in portugal. The drive in was lovely though

We did not know what a "loja" was, (thought it was a kind of a tavern) when we were walking around the village of Provesende. We now know it means "store", though "loja" definitely sounds more romantic. It is a delightful shop carrying Portuguese made wares. We came away with some exquisitely embroidered table and kitchen linens. The sales attendant... More

After seeing shop after shop full of Chinese made souvenirs, it was a breath of fresh air to find that, in this case, the owner has clearly made a real effort to stock locally/nationally made products and, moreover, has priced them reasonably. If... More

We were staying In the middle of deepest Portugal and out of nowhere stumbled upon this amazing shop. Great local artifacts, bright and cheerful with a delightful lady at the desk. You must visit the douro valley and a small village called Provesende.

I went to this idyllic quiet little village in northern Portugal and was lucky enough to come across this wonderful shop that had just opened. The owner was incredibly hospitable and had handpicked all these artisan products from all over Portugal herself. I wanted to buy everything in the shop! Although it wouldn't fit in my suitcase sadly! I would... More
