We had to settle for the self-guided tour on a Saturday afternoon because all the guided tours were full. The grounds are large, beautiful, and impressive. The self-guided tour was very well done and informative, but I'm sorry we missed out on all the information surely available on the guided tour. The guest entrance and gift shop are large and... Such a beautiful place, such a great tour and guide, so much fun! Jim Beam was the first of our personal Bourbon Trail adventure and it was a perfect start. Even if you don't drink bourbon, you'll enjoy it and learn a lot. (Make a reservation and you must take the tour, approx. 1 hour, before you taste.)

We visited the J.B. Stillhouse to tour the facility. The tour is a mostly walking tour with a couple of bus rides to get to the farther buildings. It is very interesting and the guide fully explains all the bourbon making steps. At the end of the tour you get to taste sample some of the bourbons available.

Jim Beam lived up to it's motto: come as friends and leave as family. From the get-go, Jim Beam accommodated our needs, grabbing a larger van to help us stay on our tight timeline of 9 tours in three days. From the tour to the unique tasting area, Jim Beam has created a fun and entertaining tour for bourbon lovers... More

My wife and I had some extra time while in Louisville during Thanksgiving and decided to take a tour of the main distillery as an impulse. No problem. We were easily worked into a full tour. This operation is massive as distilleries go. More importantly, they do a very good job of explaining and showing the process, and the facilities... More
