Got their just before the last sampling was offered. Joan hosted us to an enjoyable and informative explanation as what spirits were made by Heaven Hill. The museum hallway and gift shop were good as well. Recommend stopping here first. Ask for Joan as a hostess.

Heaven Hill has a nice facility nicely decorated for the holidays. They have a history exhibit which is well done. The "tour" though was not really a tour, it was a film and a tasting. It was pricey at $20pp which is more than most of the other distilleries. We did not go into any rickhouses or fermentation rooms. The... More

You can spend hours in the Heritage Center reading all the history of bourbon ~ but the tasting experience is second to none ~ and we should know ~ we completed 9 tours in three days over the Turkey day holiday. The two finely aged ladies that hosted our tasting at the 1 o'clock tour were ~ second to none... More

Katherine was our tour leader. She was excellent in engaging the entire group. We learned a lot about bourbon. We have been on other distillery tours so we opted for the connnoisseur tasting. There are so many brands that came from Heaven Hill. We were surprised to learn this. This is a family owned distillery & it shows in the... More

We had a small tour group (the first tour on a Sunday) and our guide was very informative. You visit one of the rick houses, learn the art of bourbon and have a small tasting at the end. Since this was our first tour, we enjoyed the experience. Those with more experience may find it too basic.

The best of the stops on the bourbon trail to learn about the history of Kentucky bourbon. This is our 2nd time and very informative and great gift store.

The gift shop and the museum area was very nice. They have tours that offer tasting which is VERY nice. Both tours are very limited though. One only goes to a rick house and the other they show you a movie. The tasting is worth doing both.

My wife and I got another stamp on our Kentucky Bourbon Trail passport by visiting the Bourbon Heritage Center. We went on the tasting tour which focuses on barrel placement in the rack houses and the effect it has on bourbon aging. Kathleen, our guide did a remarkable job in making the experience fun and learning. We tasted five bourbons... More

Visited here a few times and never went on the tour so I could not say if it is worth it . We like to stop and pick up a specialty bottle every now and then. Th staff has always been friendly and we like stopping.

What an excellent facility and welcome center. The people are very friendly and knowledgeable. We got to try the bourbon connoisseur event and sampled some excellent products. Very nice displays and gift shop as well. If you're a serious whiskey/bourbon person, I highly recommend stopping by.
