We wanted to try the higher end bourbons so we skipped the tour and did the $20 tasting. The Elijah Craig 18 year was a favorite and we wish we could have bought a bottle to take home. Nice gift shop and tasting room.

This distillery is a must on the trail but it’s also one of the busiest. I’d visit for sure but it won’t be your favorite as it’s pretty commercial.

Great bourbon and whiskey sampling accompanied by friendly, informative staff! Nice gift shop with a wide variety of goodies. My personal favorite was the fighting cock bourbon barbecue sauce ;) For the sweet toothers, the bourbon salted twinkies are really good.... All around Awesome time!

This was our second distillery tour while we were in Kentucky. It was very informative about the Rick house more so than others we've done. The tasting is done in a very unique tasting room and the grounds are pretty.

It is a beautiful facility. While we did not take a tour, we did spend about 45 minutes looking over the exhibits which were very helpful in grounding us on Kentucky Bourbon history. We opted for the connoisseur tasting and it was exceptional. You taste...More

The high end tasting was delicious. This was different than your usual distillery tour. You are taken into a room and shown a video and then the tasting begins. The tasting takes about an hour. The heritage center was very interesting.

The Bourbon Heritage Center is a beautiful facility which chronicles the inception and growth of the Bourbon trade in Kentucky. The gift shop is full of wonderful souvenirs including various bourbons. Tastings and tours are available at a cost.

This depends on what you are looking for. If you want to go to a Rickhouse, then the Heritage Center is the place (not to mention that the tasting afterwards is in a cool looking room). If you are interested in the history... More
