It's an interesting place. Very quaint. The displays are varied from amazing to only fair. The history was well presented and interesting. We walked through the old homes and buildings next door. That was very interesting. I recommend it.

I did a self-tour and was amazed at all the artifacts collected. Some effort was made to tell the story of the war with pieces that fit every major battle, branch, and aspect of the Civil War. That requires a lot of artifacts and they pulled it off.

Some very interesting information on women's roles in the war, which one does not usually hear about We love museums and have seen many good and bad ones. The displays here are not that well presented. Much of it is reading intensive, which is not a bad thing in and of itself, but it is often placed at such a... More

This is a very well managed museum with a lot of artifacts on display. You can spend a lot of time there if you have the time. We would recommend this to people who have an interest in history.

This is a very simple but nicely done museum. I enjoyed the artifacts on display, and recommend this as an interesting way to spend an hour. There's not much to it, but it was worth the low admission fee.

Museum has a great collection of letters, pictures, facts and figures of the Civil War, please make sure that you allow plenty of time to go over the information on every exhibition. Then you can go outside and walk around the original structures and tools that give you a glimpse of what life what about that time

This place is fantastic and a definitely a MUST see!!! I am a history buff and I was surprised at how much there is to see in the three museums here. The staff are friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable! Be sure to see all three of the museums! This trio is well worth a trip to Bardstown!

Visited here during the Bourbon Festival in Bardstown and was pleasantly surprised with the great displays and contents of the museum. I would go again because we simply didn't spend enough time there to soak it all up. Their exhibits were very well done and organized.
