Google can give you a starting point at the St Francis Court House. Look on Kansas travel websites. It is about 30 miles of mostly dirt roads. Don't go after a rain. Bring water and be sure you have enough gas. Nice scenery to be seen drive slow and enjoy the view. Also in area is the boarder of Kansas... More

My husband was very curious about these geological formations (being in KS); they were so subtle we almost missed them while driving with a detailed map.

"The Breaks" are a unique part of the Kansas landscape. If you are in the area and like natural land-forms, it is well worth a visit. Be sure to go on over to the "Three Corners." Stand in three states at once and sign the guestbook. You will have both places to yourself and can experience nature and the high... More

30 mile stretch of stunning views along an unpaved but well-maintained country road. Bring water -- no amenities!

I completed the self guided driving tour on my motorcycle. I really enjoyed the combination of historic sights and scenic views. You get to see the locations of Indian and Cavalry camps as well as Horsethief Cave. Mostly dirt roads, did not see much traffic. Devil's Gap is also worth seeing. The tour does not look like its still available... More

The Breaks reminds me of the old westerns. We saw lots of deer. It was a good trip other than the dusty farmer motel, stay away it is the cheapest motel in town for a reason.
