This is a very interesting place with displays from many eras. One area is a little Main Street with many various store fronts from the 1800's. My grandchildren visit every summer and they always want to go to the museum. My granddaughters especially enjoy the Miss Kansas section.

This small town museum offers university quality. The new Native American gallery holds some of the best artifacts around, including jewelry, headdress, and bead work.

This is a largely volunteer run and managed museum, that is well organized and maintained. It has a new exhibit of Native American artifacts that celebrate the history of the area, along with the building of the railroad, agriculture, fashion, commerce, and many other topics. It is MUCH larger than it looks from the outside, and one could spend a... More

It really is a wonderful museum. My husband and I went after his grandmother had asked him if he had taken me to the local sights yet. Since this was in Pratt, we went. We had the whole place to ourselves. We stayed the entire afternoon just pouring over everything.

Visited with our 4-H Club, this museum is rather large for a "small town" and has so many hidden treasures. Definitely worth your time to stop and explore.

I took 3 of my grandchildren here and they were fascinated by all the old machines, equipment, displays of home life, and keep asking me to take them again! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable plus appreciated all the children's questions.

Excellent county historical museum. Housed in an old lumberyard displays of pioneer life and a replica main street. It will surprise you. Soon to be opened a world class native american exhibit. Open afternoons 1-4.

To say that we had incorrectly pre-judged this museum would be a huge understatement! We were attracted by the oddity of the Miss Kansas exhibition and with Pratt being on our road-trip route through Kansas, we stopped off to give the Museum a cursory glance. What we found instead was a lovingly maintained and genuinely interesting museum telling the story... More
