In Hutchinson, Kansas both the Cosmosphere and the Strataca were places to see. Worth the 3 hour drive from Kansas City.

Stopped here on cross-country road trip without having heard of it before- a gem. Much larger than it appeared at first- at least an hour, more for those with real interest in the subject.

A fantastic space museum in the middle of the country. Outstanding exhibits of space hardware nicely displayed with ample explanations. A good visit could easily take 2-3 hours.

Amazing that Hutchinson, Kansas has such a great museum & they are a affiliate of the Smithsonian. A must for any history or space buff. They have an SR71 Blackbird in the lobby that is quite impressive. Friendly staff.

Yes, it is wheelchair accessible. They have an elevator to go up into the dome, and one to go down into the museum also.
