Large van Gogh flower painting unexpectedly in Goodland. Easy access from the Interstate. A nearby park let’s you stretch your legs from the drive. Worth a stop.

Who would have ever thought of the "Big Easel?" Not me. Just part of fun things to see in traveling through small town mid-America.

We stopped here to see the High Plain Museum but discovered it was closed. We got some photos of us under the painting, felt awe at how big it is, and then left. I don't know if this is really a "must see" but it's...More

If you find yourself in Goodland, KS it's worth a quick pull off to see this. Am I changed forever? Um... No. But between KC and Denver it's a good place to stretch your legs. 😜

Take a break from the Interstate and check this painting out. Nice parking lot with picnic shelter and grass to run the dog and kids in. Who‘d a thunk a giant painting out in the middle of no where? Worth the stop.

The best part of a road trip is seeing unique and unusual sites along the way. I have never seen a giant painting displayed in a park before. A very cool thing to see. Go in the morning for the best photos.

It is about one mile. It is not far at all. Good place to stop and stretch the legs. Also, cruise the main strip of the town. It is a neat small town.
