We were fortunate to be able to visit as this museum was usually closed at the time we visited. The curator was so kind to give us a thorough tour and answered our many questions. I especially loved the old books in the library. And I remembered sitting in a desk similar to one that was there.

A small but well appointed museum dedicated to the best teachers of Kansas. The back room is filled with teaching artifacts and item from 1900 to the present. Out back is a complete authentic one-room school house. A great stop - and if you attended school in Kansas you can look up your teacher to see if they made the... More

The Kansas Teachers' Hall of Fame is an excellent place to revisit those teachers that have dedicated their lives to the children of our fine state of Kansas. You will see top-notch technology as it shares the accomplishments of teachers that have received the honor of being inducted into the Kansas Teachers' Hall of Fame. The newest addition of the... This location offers a look at teaching during the frontier days, and what aids and tools a teacher had at their disposal. If you are interested in the history of teaching, and history in general, you should make sure to visit this place. In addition to the Hall of Fame, they have a Wax Museum featuring lawmen Bat Masterson and... More

We saw this attraction from the tour bus and went back to visit it. We did not enjoy this mainly because it is really about teachers of Kansas. If you are a teacher or interested in such, it would be great place to visit.

We loved this tour. The retired teachers that are there to give you a tour are fantastic and full of informaiton about the area. The one room school house that sits in the back of this Hall of Fame is beautiful and really gives you an idea what it would have been like. The gift shop was nice, too. They... More
