When the movie, The Bridges of Madison County, hit the theaters, I have wanted to visit the covered bridges. 23 years later, I have marked it off my bucket list. The Roseman bridge is the longest of the remaining bridges and very picturesque. It basically...More

This was the first bridge we stopped at on our day tour. It is also the only one with a gift shop!! Lady was really nice. wine tastings available here. If coming from the west or north, at the junction of IA-92 and county P53,...More

I had a great visit to the bridge, famous from the movie. You have to travel 3-4 miles along country roads - dusty and full of pebbles. Just take your time as, even at low speeds the pebbles can cause you to slide especially on...More

I had never been there, but my friend that I was traveling with had. She said we couldn't be that close, and not stop. We both love the movie, and I was not disappointed!!

I visited all the covered bridges of Madison County. I would say Roseman is probably most people's favorite. It also sits in the most natural and appealing setting. But the Cutler-Donahoe bridge in the park was my favorite. It is also one of the simpler...More

Having been made famous by the movie, Roseman is the main attraction of the bridges. And, it has the gift shop. The river is fairly pretty at this location. None of the bridges should be missed, but this is a must see for anyone seeing...More

I hired Glenna from the Chamber to come with me and she took me to the Bridges of Madison County. It was great to listen o her 'insider' stories - not only of the bridges' history, but also some of the interactions with the movie...More

My husband and I visited Roseman Bridge on July 30. The manager made our visit. She's living the movie. Knows everything about the movie and local history. Her husband proposed on Roseman Bridge. She was a delight not to mention a wealth of local information.

We took the tour of the bridges and thought this one of the best. Both this and the Hogback are very picturesque. Sadly, all the bridges are covered with names and scribbles of many many visitors. Looks like the caretakers have abandoned trying to paint...More

This winery is the BEST winery I have ever been to. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The wine slushes were absolutely amazing! The best wine I have tasted! I will be back!
