It is not easy to get there due to a long, difficult sand road leading there, but once you do, it is definitely worth it. The view is splendid, especially in a place where the river enters into the sea. Nearby there is a small market place where you can buy local handcraft and a small, charming church. Also, great... Corumbau is a perfect spot for those who want a calm and beautiful place to relax, read or write something. I've been there 3 times and get in love over and over again. Definitely is a fantastic option for a good escape.

A quiet and almost unexplored beach. Its is a 2h30 trip in a dust road to get there. A small village with good little restaurants and small hotels. The water is calm and warm. Whe the tide is down, we can see a big sand line ( the ponta de corumbau). A must go place!

Corumbau means "away from the stresses" in the language of Pataxós Indians. But it is not like this anymore. People has moved to the junction of Corumbau beach with Corumbau river, known as Ponta de Corumbau and they do not care for the environment. Waste and pollution are all around and the worst is: with permission of local government. If... More

You can walk a mile and see two people. The water is not rough. Sitting on the beach and reading was a rediscovered pastime.

This is truly Bahian paradise. Corumbau, a 'distant place' in the language of the local Amerindian Pataxó tribe is a sleepy fisherman's village on one of the most beautiful stretches of desert beach in Brazil, 12 kilometers long. Sufficiently off the beaten track to discourage day trippers but with excellent local restaurants, Restaurante da Vila for superb bobo de camarão... More

You have nothing to do but relax and walk on the beach. There are a few restaurants in the village - select the seafood that comes straight from the fishermen in the afternoons.

Normally for several reasons one has deteriorated conditions for attractions like that one However , so far tha has not been the case. The infrastucture which was initially minimal has imporved with good "Pousadas" and a net of eating places which will... More
