Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wonderful place with even better views of the lakes as known only from photos. I live in the Czech Republic and I can say that I am excited about Finland. I can only recommend this national park

Amazing and relaxing experience. Pure nature, 3 trails - 2.8, 4.6 and 14 km - ideal for just few hours or whole day hike. Perfect as it is now, please don't come so it stays as quiet and peaceful forever.

Etala-Konnevisi Kensallispuisto (Southern Konnevisi National Park) is about 50 kms or a 45-minute car journey from Pieksamaki. We undertook a five kilometre walk around a small lake near the main entrance. The walk entailed lake-edge narrow boardwalks and many climbs and descents - some quite steep and requiring care with the highest being an ascent of 80 metres to some cliffs overlooking the lake. There are toilets and a small bbq/picnic area. It really is a beautiful and tranquil place to engage with Finland's natural beauty.

We did a 14km hike of the three mountains (hills) and visited some islands with kayaks. Beautiful views, forests, hiils, islands, lot of different birds. Good amenities for barbeque and spend night outdoors. One of the most versatile and beautiful locations in Finland.

One of the newest national parks of Finland, founded in 2014 and situated in and around the Southern Konnevesi lake, which is the 23th biggest lake in Finland (out of almost 200 000). Very interesting location on the border between two municipalities - Konnevesi and Rautalampi, and two regions - Central Finland and Northern Savonia. Local people even say this is a border between two Finnish tribes that have different dialects and habits. The landscape is also of two different types. On the western side there are small islands, rocky waters and open-water views, while on the eastern side of the park there are steep hills and hiking routes. Great escape from the city noise and stress. You can enjoy total silence, you can drink water straight from the lake, you can catch your own fish! From the small towns of Rautalampi and Konnevesi you can find a diversity of family businesses, providing you with all the services you need, and in addition the customer service is always accompanied by local spirit and personal stories. I have visited the place many times and I will always return to it!
