A natural park rich in woods, prairies, and with dozens of ponds, where thousands of wild birds come both for nesting and as migrant. Moreover we breed rare species of birds (White stork, European spoonbill, Glossy ibis, Stilt, Avocet, Otter, Red squirrel) and reintroduce the young's into the wild. Often in large aviaries where we try to reproduce natural environment with ponds, woods, fishes and so on. The tropical section is dedicated to plants, mammals, birds, reptiles from the rainforest. We specialize in hummingbirds. Visitors are introduced in the park thru the medieval castle built between the X and XV centuries.

Interesting park with hundreds of species, mainly birds, butterflies and reptiles. The animals live in their natural habitat which has been carefully recreated. We visited it at the end of September; although it was a week end and there were many visitors we did not feel the crowd as the park is large. A great place for people who love... More

September seems to be s great moment to visit the park: cool, not crowded, you can really enjoy every corner. Forget about the zoo and the parks: here you can truly enjoy the view of the animals (especially birds) in a very natural setting. We also enjoyed the picnic area. We loved it.

This is an excellent animal park especially for the bird watchers. I highly recommend. This is one of the best places in the world for the bird photography too.

Oasi di S.Alessio is a great place to spend an afternoon or even better an entire day with family and friends. It is well organized, has an astonishing variety of animal species (mainly birds but not only - the tropical butterflies and the sloths are remarkable, in my opinion). It is just outside Pavia so if you are in the... More
