We stopped here on the way to Green Gables in Cavendish. Though not nearly the tourist attraction that Green Gables is, this historic site is a must stop for fans of Lucy Maud Montgomery and her classic novel.

I went into Lucy Maud Montgomery's birthplace, which is a small, quite humble home. I was greeted promptly and told that if I had any questions, just to ask. The home was filled with information about the author, Lucy Maud Montgomery. The bedroom in which she was born could be seen by climbing the steep staircase. There was a very... More

Every Anne sight we saw taught us something new about the author. The home is nice and you can walk around at your leisure. There is lots to read if you have the patience for that which I don't. The author's wedding dress is there (replica) which is neat to see. She was a tiny woman!

We stopped here for a quick visit during our private tour of PEI. This place was small and cute. It was interesting to look at Lucy M's old artifacts and to learn about her history. The tour itself was quick and we were done within ten minutes. The guide was knowledgable and friendly. Going through the house once is enough,... More

$4 adult admission was just fine... it's a relatively quick tour, but a nice piece to roll into your general LMM/Green Gables visit! It was interesting to learn more about LMM's life before moving on to Green Gables.

Our trip to PEI included everything we could learn about LMM, so we didn't want to miss her birthplace. This is a small museum, but includes some nice photos and possessions. Of course, it was cool to see the room where she was born. This museum is about halfway between the GG Museum in Park Corner and the GG Heritage... More

Loved visiting here. $4 adult admission and so much history to see. The staff are wonderful and very knowledgeable! I enjoyed this site much more than green gables in Cavendish.

This little house is where the author was born and lived with her parents as a toddler. The wedding dress on display is a replica, but the black shoes were hers. I liked all the photos, and the letters and journals displayed in the glass cases in the second room. But, unless you are really into L.M. Montgomery's life and... More

We drove past the house at first but turned around because of the sign. I could not get my family to go inside. I walked around the house and snapped a few pictures. I wish I would had gone inside.
