I had the opportunity to tour this site after the tourism season and on a weekday. I had the entire place to myself. So-I got to spend as much time as I wanted to see the exhibits and displays and read all the signage. Very...More

This is a small village of buildings or replicas of buildings telling much of the history of Pella. It can be comfortably seen in about 2-3 hours, counting the tour of the windmill. There are a lot of displays, but more importantly, explanations available for...More

Very interesting. The docents are very knowledgable. There is a historical village in the gardens outside of the windmill.

The 'ground level' buildings were interesting and full of information, but the highlight for me was the miniature village of a typical Holland town - such detail, such imagination, so charming. Now, I am scared to death of heights but I went to the top...More

See the Dutch cultural heritage when you visit during the tulip festival, buy the dutch chocolates. The last day of the tulip festival was really colorful with parade and ceremonies.

A real Dutch windmill anchors the Dutch village. Its main top area was designed and built in Holland then reconstructed on its present site. This is a new Mill and is authentically Nederland! It is a real functioning mill that mills wheat for local farmers...More

The village and windmill were very nice. It was worth the drive. Would love to have taken a tour of the Pella window plant since we have them throughout our house, but they don't offer public tours.
