Whilst staying in the area with a group we visited the airfield. Beautiful and interesting, in some ways sad, but with knowledge that those who went before went with great patriotism and bravery, the museum offered an invaluable insight into a bygone age

A relatively small place with a huge emotional impact. It has all the information to demonstrate the bravery and youth of those who flew from there. I recommend the small booklet about the ghostly goings on in this area

I have to admit to a little bias here - my long since departed Uncle flew C-47 / DC-3 during WW2 and for a few years subsequently, so the opportunity to actually see what his "Office" would have looked and felt like was a n...More

Hi Melanie, Open days are listed on their website. Normally weekends and Wednesdays. A Google search for the website should help. Regards, Graham
