The exterior is well worth seeing. Unless you are staying at the hotel, you only have access to the small lobby and lower lounge area, but well worth a walk-through. If you are in Mason City, you wouldn't want to miss it.

The docent we had, Vicky, was well versed in the stories of the hotel and Mason City back in 1908 as well as the rapid decline and eventual rescue of this unique survivor among Wright’s commercial properties. If you like Wright’s work, go see it....More
The business leaders of Mason City funded & restored this incredible piece of history....otherwise it was going to be torn down!!
