People walking, fishing, picnicking, viewing the river and outlet from the dam. Serene. Very family friendly. Lots of fishing done here today. FREE! Marcydiner tantrum scale of 5/5-no screaming kids. Camping across the road.

This facility has great outdoor recreation including camping, boat launch on the back ponds, playgrounds, sight seeing, nature, and many great birds. Yesterday while visiting I counted 18 Eagles!

The Saylorville dam is something to see. It is mesmerizing watching the water come through the dam and then gently flow down the river. There were lots of people camping, fishing, having picnics and playing in the large open areas. There is lots of woods...More
