Is this Heaven? No, it’s Iowa. A place of fertile soil, traditional values and simple pleasure. And, in Dyersville, Iowa, at the century-old Lansing family farm with its quaint, and oh-so-recognizable house, baseball still ranks as a favorite pastime for all ages. What better place to carve a baseball diamond from a corn field and to make a movie about pursuing one’s dream, no matter how much effort it takes? For the first time in history, the Field of Dreams farm house is open to the public with purchase of timed tour tickets via our website.

Field of Dreams is one of my all-time favorite movies, and we couldn't pass up a chance to see this place when we were in the area. It's just like it looked in 1985 when they made the movie. We bought the house tour ($20 each) and it was well worth the price of admission. The guy who narrated the... More

We went with another family, 4 adults, 6 kids and bought tickets for the house tour in advance. The home tour was very interesting and you should definitely watch the movie before you go in an effort to remember the details. It's a very small, quaint place, but has a little gift shop and when we went it was not... More

Amy, so delighted that you enjoyed the tour and got a chance to revel in the peace and beauty of the farm! We'd love to have you back when the corn is high and the major league players come out to play under the lights. Thank you for sharing your review. More

Make sure to watch movie before going - Denise- owner - gave us the tour of the house! Excellent job! If you just want to see the field it's free - bring glove, ball and bat!

Haven't seen the movie yet, but after visiting this site, the movie is in my sights. It's not too far out of town; maybe a mile or so, but it's well worth the time (it's free, too).

Thank you, Gerald! Definitely watch the movie next and when you come back, if time allows, stop in for a house tour. You'll enjoy that after you see the movie! More

I'm not a big fan of baseball, but was on a weekend with my wife in Dubuque and thought it was worth a visit. A 30 minute drive from Dubuque. Use your GPS, because it's in the 'sticks'. Pretty cool. Baseball fans and fans of the film will love it. Went on April 1st, the official first day it's open,... More

The baseball field, the corn fields, the farm house - they are just as they were in the movie. Bring your baseball gloves and a baseball and play on the same field Ray Kincella played on with his dad. Spend an hour there and it will take you back to your Little League days. Be prepared to get a little... More

We drove from Kentucky on Monday, spent the night and then went to the Field of Dreams on Tuesday morning. We spent about two hours there and then drove back home. Around 8 ours more or less both ways. Totally worth it. Only thing detracting was that our son who works in South Carolina couldn't be there with us. Will... More

I have been here several times with my Dad over the years, but I wish to cover our visit during Father's Day Weekend 2014 in this review. As soon as I saw the advertisement on MLB.com in late April 2014 of a planned celebration at the Field of Dreams movie site to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the film's release,... More

We went to see the "Team of Dreams" celebrity softball game because several of our favorite Hall of Fame players were there and "Field of Dreams" is my favorite movie. The softball game wasn't exactly a pitching duel, but the Hall of Famers were accessible for photos and autographs and they seemed to enjoy playing against each other as much... More

After you saw the American fantasy/drama sports film Field of Dreams starring Kevin Costner, Amy Madigan, James Earl Jones, Ray Liotta and Burt Lancaster in his final role in 1989, didn't you wish you could play a game on that field? I felt the same way when I sat in the dugout at old Comiskey Park and recalled that Babe... More

Thank you for the lovely review! The lights actually still work and we turn them on often as we rent the Field after hours for private parties and special events. We even allow wedding celebrations on the Field and look forward to staying open until 8pm in July and August as staffing allows. More
