GREAT year round

Fabulous views of the river. A great park for a picnic, a walk or a bike ride. In the winter you have to walk in versus drive.

Would have loved to visit, but the gate was locked and there was no staff around. Next time. I wish something would have been posted to let us know about seasonal hours.

The most beautiful spot in Iowa. Magnificent view of 3 states & the Big River, (the Mississippi). Watch the Eagles & Pelicans fly & barges going through the Lock & Dan #11. The Frank Lloyd Wright type architecture is another element of the park appreciate. Worth a stay or a picnic.

This is an absolutely gorgeous park that overlooks the lock & dam on the Mississippi River in Dubuque. The architecture is beautifully designed out of native stone and attractions include pavilions that can be rented for events, playground equipment, a large fish pond and a bandshell. Great place to relax & enjoy the view of the river!

Beautiful view. Nice park. Minimal fee. Relaxing. My husband loved watching the ships go thru. Will visit again hopefully.

Beautiful, scenic, hand made Park of Dubuque that sits above the Mississippi River, and Lock & Dam #11. Breath taking heights. Awesome to walk, play areas all over for kids, picnic spots, large Pavilions for group activities, Historical, and plenty of sites to the Wisconsin and Illinois sides of the River.

The type of park that very few cities can boast of. Scenery that soothes the soul and a view of the Mississippi River and 3 states from an unbelievable vantage point. Anyone who travels to the Dubuque area in Spring, Summer, or Fall should take time to visit this gorgeous natural wonder. If you like to picnic, there are multiple... More

Great place for a picnic and gathering of family and friends. Plenty of swings and outdoor play areas to keep young children occupied. Great Picnic Area and view of the surrounding area.
