I really enjoyed my visit to this museum. There is a small but significant collection of Grant Wood paintings and lithographs. I also enjoyed the Edward Curtis exhibit. The curation is exceptional-wall texts in particular were very engaging and informative.

The museum was small but good. The room with Wood's painting had several paintings that were not identified. It had a photo exhibit while we were there which was good.

The building itself is interesting, with 2 levels on which the art is displayed. There are a few Grant Woods in the collection, and neat display areas for temporary displays. Free on certain days of the week. Nice, easily manageable museum.

This is probably the smallest city art museum I've ever been to, but the small exhibits were very well done. The realistic sculpture exhibit was excellent to the point of being creepy because the sculptures are so life-like. The curator is skilled and has done...More
