Court Avenue is great to live by. There is always something to do almost 24/7. It's great to stroll along Court at night and I always feel safe. The city has made Court Avenue the center of many festivals from the weekly Farmers Market to...More

Highly recommend Johnnies Hall Of Fame, and many of the surrounding bars. Outside patios are everywhere and lots of great food choices.

This area is a community of sorts with some great restaurants and a farmers market every Saturday morning. Family friendly. Clean. Marcydiner tantrum scale of 5/5-no screaming kids. Also, there is a HyVee right down center here.

Court avenue is the place to be in town for dinner or drinks. We love this area of downtown, so much to offer. Several options for lunch or dinner, they even have a grocery store downtown now.

It was very easy to start at one end of Court and sample the various pubs on the way. Outdoor seating was nice with the warmer weather.

There is a Hampton Inn/Residence Inn along the river, 1 block South of Court. Park free on street on weekends. Try El Bait Shop for craft beers and Mullets for breakfast.

The bars are open to all ages, but serve alcohol to 21+ patrons. You can find great shows, and events at the Des Moines Social Club, close to Court Avenue.
