We took our 3 year old son to the zoo for the night eyes they put on for Halloween. It was so much fun, he had a blast in a safe environment, the staff working was nice and we will definitely be back.

We are in DesMoines for a business/family trip and took our two year old to the zoo. It is big enough to provide a lot of entertainment and small enough to see the animals up close and personal.

What a great place to take the family to this smaller, but wonderful zoo. Blank Park Zoo is a great place for families and kids. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

If you want to spend an enjoyable day with your kids at a very well-run zoo that close to home, check out the Blank Park Zoo. It's not overwhelming in size but has some interesting and fun exhibits for kids of all ages.

It was a hot and humid day, but the zoo did not disappoint. We enjoyed it in spite of the weather. Lots of things to do.
