Beauty at its best
Jun 2019
This is one tiny place in Spiti which we felt to add a ton to our trip. The lone monastery, and the cute tea stall (World's Highest Restaurant or Spiti Organic Kitchen), and the few sparse houses in the village, made for the best ambiance to experience Spiti. Through there were two traveller full of loud, boisterous people who were trying to spoil it for us, the passing clouds gifted us with specks of snow in late June, and made the already delicious Que (local pasta) and Butter tea, even more delectable. We will forever remember those couple of hours spent at the Highest motorable village in the world (at least for sure in India)

When our traveler was driving up to Komic, the mountains which looked so huge suddenly came to our eye level! It was amazing. We took a lunch break here and recharged ourselves.

we were surrounded by children who sold us their precious little amonite stones (fossils) for a small price of 20-100rp... the children were delightful and so excited to receive some rupees and raced off together to examine their loot. by going through this village (highest village with road access in the world), you will experience another wonder in the incredible views of the road back to Kaza.
