It was still cold outside today but we decided to visit the park and take a brisk hike along the mississippi river. It was great! We saw 5 eagles, tons of white pelicans and beavers. Next time we travel thru Davenport we will come back...More

This is where we walk when we want to do a short distance and the weather precludes other areas. Minimal traffic makes walking the road easy, and there is a short off-road trail section at the south end. Great on a sunny day. Nothing exceptional...More

This is a piece of history that goes back to the French and Indian Wars. Lots of big old trees, some trails, and a great view of the river and how things used to be.

Nice little statuary, good turn-around spot for our ride biking the quad cities. Probably a mile or two loop to cover the whole island.

Kind of weird yet interesting little park. There were some neat concrete statues, and I was able to touch the Mississippi River here, which I loved.

It looks like it needs TLC, the golf course was knee deep in weeds. It has flooded several times so far. The golf course could be used for muddin in trucks or atv's. It would be nice for a camp ground but the ground is...More

We tried 3 ways to get to the island, we could not. All entrances were flooded out. Made us sad we wanted to ride our bikes on the island and see the Sunday Afternoon in the park statues. I can see why they abandoned the...More

We often use Credit Island Park. Since it often floods they finally gave up on the interesting golf course on the island. That is understandable but too bad, it was a nice option. Now we often bike or walk around the scenic island. On the...More

I was very disappointed in Credit Island. The day I went it was just a mud puddle..I went to see the rehab of the golf course club house. It was closed and it appeared as if it was never open. Why did the city spend...More
