Lombard Street in San Francisco may be the longer crooked street in the U. S. but the turns on Snake Alley are sharper. Don't miss a drive, walk or bike down this historic street.

This is my favorite spot to walk or attend events. Delightful spring, summer, fall, and winter. It is also interesting to learn the history of area.

If you go to Burlington, IA do the Snake Alley, especially with kids! It seems more scary than it is but you have to pay attention driving.

This is a must stop if you are anywhere nearby. We drove to Nauvoo from Iowa City and made the detour. It was well worth it. It only takes a minute or so to drive down, but there is no wait at the top -...More

My family and I really enjoyed this little pit stop. Snake Alley is really cool and fun to check out. If you drive around the town at the top of the hill you'll be impressed by all the beautiful old homes as well. The little...More

Take a drive down the alley, it's a trip! Like a mini trip to San Francisco. And people actually live alongside of it.

Not quite as big as Lombard Street in San Francisco, but it was a nice little street to drive that didn't take up too much time.

More hairpin turns in one block than San Francisco's Lombard Street. Paved with bricks, one-way (down) only. Don't try driving it when it's raining or snowing.

It's fun to stop for a visit at the crookest alley in the world! Read about it, then you can drive from the top of the hill down! Very steep! The bricks were arranged that way to aid the firetruck horses to get up the...More

I'm so sorry I just now saw your question. A great place to purchase a souvenir from the area is the Iowa Store, located next to the Port of Burlington Welcome Center. The Iowa Store does sell some magnets.
