Quiet and relaxing

Went before Memorial Day so it was real quiet but it was absolutely beautiful. Great place to camp, fish, or just relax.

We live in another part of Indiana and had never heard of Versailles State Park. What a lovely gem tucked away in the southeast part of our state! We were there in April and the white dogwoods were all in bloom, along with other flowering trees and wildflowers. The park is quite hilly and it was lovely to drive around... More

If you are looking for a wonderful day trip with the family that is less than a couple of hours away from Indianapolis, I would suggest this park. You can walk easily to points around the lake to fish. There are picnic tables right by the water's edge. The bathrooms are nearby and they are kept spotless. They are serviced... More

This state park is made for familys. Camping, trails, pool, playgrounds, picnic tables, grills, pond, fishing, dam, and paddle boats. In the summer you can ride horses. The park is VERY affordable. Plenty of parking. Directions everywhere for accessibility. You only pay a fee to get into the state park, swimming, camping, paddle boating and I believe the horses back riding.... More

Versailles State Park is a great place to hike, boat, camp, or bring your horses! The campgrounds are nice and kept clean. There's also a new horseman's camp where you can park your horses next to your camper. There are many buildings/shelters still in use that were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, including the Group Camp, which can be... More

Even in the cold weather, this park is great for walking. The trails are well marked, and parking is easy.

Went there last week. Leaves were changing nicely. Hung out at the dam and watched the fishermen. Nice day trip from Cincinnati.

There are lots of shelters in this park and I left thinking it would be a nice place to have a group outing. We stopped in for some hiking and a picnic lunch on a very warm weekday. There were only a few other people in the park, it was extremely quiet. There are 3 hiking trails and several mountain... More

We camped here for 4 nights in mid July so that we could attend a family get together in Lawrenceburg. Since we were gone each day, only to return every evening, we really didn't get to utilize the park's features much, but we did look around some. We set up camp with our A-frame camper in Loop A on site... More
