The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame is the place to find the history of Hoosier Hysteria. New Castle has the largest high school basketball field house just a block east of the HOF. Visit it too. This town is the home of Kent Benson and Steve Alford. Many others are featured like John Wooden.

I don't like basketball & know nothing about it, but my husband wanted to visit. It's a very nice museum, with a lot of interesting memorabilia, well-laid out and described. I left with new respect for Indiana high school basketball.

I'm a Tarheel so I felt a little like a traitor when I visited. But it was a great time. Very educational. Basketball fans will love it. And the giant shoe in the parking lot was made for a selfie.

Saw the sign on I-70 and had to stop. Wonderful history and captures the essence of the love for basketball the state has. Kathy welcomed our family and was so very kind. So much to see, if you love hoops, you have to see it!

Interesting place, showcases various Indiana high school basketball teams, special exhibit on Oscar Robertson, John Wooden and the Milan 1954 championship team. Lots of artifacts to see for the Indiana basketball enthusiast. Good bookstore and gift shop. Free parking. Even if you are not from Indiana, you will enjoy the exhibits and stories of high school teams in a state... More

Saw the sign on the highway driving home and it was only about 5 minutes off the highway. We spent about an hour walking around learning all about the history of basketball in the state. There are a bunch of interactive displays. Super inexpensive activity and the man who was working was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable.

This is a beautiful facility and presents Indiana in a very positive way. There is a lot of displays from all over Indiana. The history of basketball is impressive but there are also interactive displays and a basketball shoot with crowd noises and all. See if you can win, even best your children. This place is handicap accessible and very... More

This is a great place for fans of basketball and Indiana history buffs. There are lots of different things to see, with lots of different exhibits, showing the history of basketball in the state of Indiana. It is really cheap entertainment and worth the money all the way! Dont miss out if youre going by the area!

You walk in knowing the importance of basketball to the state of Indiana. If you aren’t from the area, perhaps you’ve seen the movie Hoosiers? Perhaps you’ve noticed the giant basketball shoe as you’ve driven up to the building? Or the giant basketball made of bricks in the path leading up to the entrance? Basketball is such a rich part...
