If you want a quick, easy hike I can recommend the trail around this pleasant lake. Nice family place, clean and well maintained. Good picnic spots. The trail is 10 miles (I'm told) but fairly level and well shaded with lots of rest spots.

Nice lake, but small. Good for kayaking & small fishing boats. No gas engines allowed on lake. Good trails to hike, some for bikes & there is a campground. Only drawback was that we had to pay 4 dollars for each kayak we had plus an entrance fee. State park, summit lake cheaper, only show my pass & no extra... More

My boyfriend and I wanted a place to hike for the day. We didn't know what we got ourselves into! We hiked the whole 10+ mile trail in only a few hours because the sun had started to set. It was an intense hike but a beautiful location with lots of different terrain. We will definitely be going back when... More

Jan Crider and his staff have made improvements every year to this park. Nice camping facilities, beautiful woods surround the lake. Trolling motors only...make for a quiet time to fish or just enjoy.

My wife and I love taking our camper and fishing boat to Westwood. The sites are good size with easy access to the lake. We can't wait for this season to commence and check out the improvements.

Nice trails; decent place to fish, boat, hike, picnic, or bike for a day or weekend. Only about 3 miles west of New Castle via CR 200 So. to Greensboro Pike southwest of town. Fairly large fish like bass, catfish, and crappie can be caught from the 180 acre lake that only allows for trolling motors. The modern campground is... More

This is a quiet lake that is peaceful. A terrific park for a family. Nice camping area. Close to New Castle.

This park is a little bit out of the way but it is nice and secluded. Most people who come here stay at the campground and fish because they have a very nice lake here. We have been a few times to Geocache and hike. Their trails are much more rugged than those at Mounds Park so it's nice to... More

It isn't the greatest park I've been too by any means, but it's nice for New Castle. In my experience, it's been a fairly clean park. We take a boat out on the lake from time to time, but keep in mind the most power you can have is a trolling motor. Just so ya know. There's a few bike... More

Great track with some hills ... Intermediate level. Could use some more difficult optional loops.. Back when DINO was racing here, the track was better groomed, but it's still ok...
