Al Jazaer Beach, Bahrain.
Oct 2019
Accessible by bus (A2) from Manama with bus passing through pleasant Hamad Town, the F1 circuit, Al Arena Wildlife Resort and Paradise Waterpark. Appropriate swimwear necessary for women- for example a longish t-shirt over exercise pants. Play area for small children and very clean toilets. No shade or snack shops however.

Filthy Beach

Absolutely filthy place!

Public beach in need of some serious TLC! This, amongst so many other public places in Bahrain just baffle me. The public flocks to it to enjoy their time, then trash it for the next person.

Glass, plastic, left over food, left over BBQ, dirty nappies, food wrappers and containers etc strewn all over the place.

Packed at the weekends with families and huge groups of young men having fun, playing football, cricket and unwinding. No lifeguards on duty, jet skis racing very close to swimmers (I've called the police for this before) and I'm surprised that there have been no deaths due to this.

The water level is very shallow and you can walk for ages before it even reaches your knees but has a very steep drop off further out which could maybe catch you off guard if you go that far.

Brilliant place for sunset photography but I would not suggest you walk on the beach unless you have shoes on as lots of broken glass and rubbish strewn about.

For an Island Bahrain should be ashamed at the lack of clean public beaches. Why is littering is so common here, everywhere you go people are chucking stuff out of their car windows, food wrappers dropped at their feet, park the dar and throw your tissues out of the window etc?

Don't bother unless your visiting BIC...

Just 10 minutes away from Bahrain International Circuit which is our only reason for visiting the beach. Not the type of place for sun loungers and mocktails. Seemed like a locals beach for groups, families, bbq etc. Ample car parking but Grubby sand. The most eye catching aspect was a local guy selling hot food from his car onto a stall, nice grub and even nicer price..

Chill Place
May 2018 • Friends
If you are looking for a quiet place to chill, this is definitely the place for you. couple of family and friends around during thursday night. no shops around. make sure to buy snacks before heading here. low tide means long walk (approx 1km) just to experience the beach. There are no security around the area so you have to leave your stuff along the beach at your own risk. Washroom is also available but dont expect much for the cleanliness.

Sad.. trash everywhere.
Sep 2016 • Friends
The beach is nice and not too crowded on weekdays. .. but the weekends it's packed (as to be expected). But, in Middle East fashion... laziness and the resulting "Trash Everywhere" ruins an otherwise GREAT PLACE !! I just don't understand why people trash 'EVERYWHERE' when cans for rubbish abound. I'll still go back..because of the water and beach... but man... wear some water shoes please.

Quiet Beach
Nov 2016 • Couples
For people who love quietness, Jazaer beach is the place to be. We visited the place on a cloudy friday afternoon, 3 PM, to be precise (its the weekend here) and I did not find the place crowded at all. I could find groups of families spending time on the beach and having a nice time with no disturbances. However, an area of improvement for this beach is the need for basic facilities like a good restaurant, though a tea shop is available that sells sandwiches and other packed snacks. The rest rooms are not that well maintained as you find in the rest of the kingdom of Bahrain. The place is relatively silent and the Boat club is a good place I have heard. I have not visited the boat club, but the rest of the beach, overall, seems to be a great place to spend quality time with family. You are allowed to enter the waters but need to get back to shore before sunset. we can play beach volleyball and fly kites here.

Public
Sep 2016 • Friends
One of the few public beaches around Bahrain (as the rest of the coast is being turned into more land mass). It is very busy and quite dirty but not too dirty as to not enjoy it. We visited on Eid and there were a lot of people there enjoying the holiday with friends and family. Very shallow so good for children or those who are not strong swimmers.
