I never even knew or thought about where MJ grew up. Thanks for my husband being a huge fan, we stopped here on our way to the Paul Bunyan trail and i must say, even if you're not a fan, your heart go out to...More

They have really fixed this place up. Many people come from near and far too visit. It's hard to imagine the whole family lived in this tiny home. Landscaping is awesome! The word is that when Mrs. Jackson comes to town, she stays here. I...More

The Jackson's helped define Gary in the 70's and it was my honor to visit there just today. I went with an Army buddy from Gary who shared stories. Yes, Gary has a tough reputation but like any city it is filled primarily with good...More

No matter what kind of Michael Jackson fan you are the stop is worth it. Very quiet neighborhood but very run down. You can tell they are trying to make improvements. It is a very humbling place to visit even if you can't go inside.

The house is easily accessible off the interstate. Pretty neat to see where the Jackson family once lived.

Interesting to see how someone so famous started out. You might want to visit earlier in the day as the area is a lil rough. It's a neat thing to see if your in the area.

I've been to Indiana lots of times but this was my first time visiting Michael Jackson's child hood home. Very nice home. Small but nice. So glad to see that they made it out of there. We love Michael and the entire family.

I live in Chicago & I drive to Gary (when necessary). I do NOT recommend taking a bus to Gary with the intention of walking around. Gary has many deserted areas which increases the potential for crime. When you visit MJs... More
