Few cities of Fort Wayne's size have an enclosed Botanical Conservatory. The product of local philanthropy and public support, the Foellinger-Freimann Botanilcal Conservatory offers three indoor spaces with a seasonal display, a tropical, and a dessert environment, In addition, they have developed an outdoor venue as well. As a local who works "downtown," it is a great place to decompress.... More

Visited this on the second Sunday, September during Be a tourist in your home town event. It was busy but still enjoyable to walk through each garden, enjoyed the Japanese and the desert gardens the most. Glad Ft Wayne has a sister city in Japan and shared many lovely specimens for Hoosiers to enjoy. The desert specimens were as spectacular,... More

The day I visited the Conservatory was rainy and dreary, but, walking through the gardens brought sunlight and beauty everywhere. Each room has its own personality although a particular theme is followed.

We visit the conservatory for jazz under the stars, fireworks, and great music performances. Great exhibits and fun for the kids during the butterfly exhibit. Fantastic flowers and plants of course.

Had a nice time taking visitors through the observatory. There is a place for kids to play and learn. Kind of wish that some parts were a little more immersive.

My family and I were surprised at how big this area is and how they are able to fit so much in to a little space. They have different climates set-up that you can walk through as well as interactive displays for kids. The displays were a bit too old for my almost 3 year old and were probably more... More

We visited the Botanical Conservatory on a Saturday afternoon during the Three Rivers Festival. At the time they had a Butterfly Exhibit on loan. This place has three different sections for floral and plant displays, a tropical area and an arid area. The staff at the front desk are very pleasant and informative. The cost was only $5.00 each for... More
