As a daughter of a WWII navy veteran this was very interesting and impressive. It is amazing that our veterans fought for this country while at sea on ships such as this. \

The last operational ship of its type offers much for WWII, Naval and History buffs. The whole family will enjoy the tour by someone who actually sailed onboard this or other LSTs. Great gift shop and wonderful views along the Ohio river. Highly recommended.

A lot of fun. Be forewarned, only open on certain days. Cost is $10 per adult, $5 per child. The tours start on the hour, so don't arrive more than 20 minutes before. Since the ship is still actively used, the tours are all guided, there is no time to look around on your own. The tours last right at... More

This is the last operational WWII LST, and was actually used during the DDay Operation June 6 1944. The historical value plus the story of the people who returned this ship from Greece to Evansville is interesting and valuable. A real piece of history.

The LST 325 is a functioning piece of American history that everyone should see given the chance. The boat tours are led by a knowledgeable volunteer group who keep the conversation friendly and make everyone feel welcome to speak up with questions. The gift shop has a few collectibles and other odds and ends. The tour itself is a roughly... More

I read about the LST 325 prior to taking the tour by googling it. I was pleasantly surprised at the role that Evansville played in building these during the war although this particular one was built in Philadelphia. This LST 325 had quite a journey both during and after WWII, and is still functional! There are plans to move it... More

Web mapping may place this attraction on Waterworks Road leading toward it, but if you follow the roadside signs & turn onto LST Drive into the Inland Marina you'll find your destination. The gravel lot is next to a long non-descript marina building; you'll need to walk through the covered patio area & down a ramp to enter the LST... More

It's a little out of the way, the area is kind of depressed with old equipment and uncut grass. Wasn't sure If I could walk down to the ship or not as there was no one around.

A very interesting tour of a restored, operational LST. The tour is guided by volunteers who are informative, they explain all about the operation and mission of these ships. I was surprised by how large the vessel is. They explain that all maintenance, operation, and management of the museum are performed by volunteers. The only disappointment was that we couldn't...
