Overview
More
The Miller House showcases the work of leading 20th-century architects and designers Eero Saarinen, Alexander Girard, and Dan Kiley. In 2000, the Miller House became a National Historic Landmark. The home, completed in 1957,was described in the Wall Street Journal as "...not only a landmark of modern architecture but also a fine example, possibly the finest, of a kind of modernist design with which too few are familiar, one that is warm, livable and majestic as it flows together with the landscape." Tours begin and end at The Columbus Area Visitors Center, 506 Fifth Street (not at the house). This guided tour is oriented to adults and children over 10 – please note only children over 10 are allowed on the tour and all guests must purchase a ticket.

I loved seeing the Miller home. Having lived in Columbus, I was excited when it was open to the public. When you visit, be sure to take a tour. You will not be disappointed!!

Took a Girl Scout troop to see the Miller House. Beautiful! The docent was knowledgeable and helped us appreciate the architecture.

It was very interesting to see how this family had things from all over the world brought to the small town of Columbus. He was a very amazing business man!

A bit expensive for a couple but the tours are leisurely and the groups held small to a dozen or so. Very much worth it. The house is the centerpiece of an amazing town's dedication to architecture. Be sure to get a reservation.

Our main visit to Columbus is to see the Miller House and Garden and it did not disappoint. Our tour guide was very informative and knew the history behind the designs. A must see tour if you are in the area!

What remains of the home's interior artifacts are quite nice. What's missing is all the colorful original works of art the Miller's owned from the Monet to Rothko, with Picasso and Warhol thrown in, this home surely sparkled with color in coordination with the furnishings and...More

I had high expectations, and they were exceeded. What a fabulous, light-filled, sophisticated house! Our docent was cheerful and very well-informed. Ranks up there with the Gamble House in Pasadena in my house tour experiences - and I'd much rather live in the Miller House....More
