Don't know how anyone could give less than 5 stars. It's beautiful! I didn't expect it to be so colorful in November but everything is still bloomed and pretty. It's very relaxing, almost feels like a little fairy land!

The University of Illinois Arboretum is pretty sizeable. It is a collection of a number of individual gardens, ponds, the Japan House, and the Idea Garden. We saw beautiful flower displays when we went in late August. I think it would be nice to stroll the grounds in each season, except, of course, in the winter.

The Arboretum is nice, but I love the nearby Idea Garden and Japan House. Granted the ponds have been screwed up, but it is still really nice. Japan House used to be my favorite place to walk. Now it is Mattis Park in Champaign since the ponds are disappointing. I haven't been there lately. Maybe it is better. I really... More

We have previously visited this place on two previous occasions, but this last was the best. A handy car park, close to the entrance with a welcoming pathway to a circular "sight for sore eyes". On our visit it was set out for a wedding later that day and I am sure it would have been an idyllic location. The... More

What a lovely & peaceful spot. I visited during in the summer during the weekday so parking was easy and the paths were very quiet. Even during a busy time (parking notwithstanding) I can imagine it's still a great place to be!

The University Arboretum is beautiful in every season. I love visiting The Idea Garden, to see favorites and new items. The Japan House grounds are tranquil, and the ponds are lovely.

The Arboretum is set in a quite immense area of grassland and woods as well as prairie, a place one may enjoy a nice stroll, a run, or family outdoor activities. While the arboretum proper is kind of small, what lies beyond it is arguably the most pleasing part of the twin-city area, including the grounds of Japan House next... More

The Arboretum and the University of Illinois Master Gardener Idea Garden is so cool. It is so well cared for that many may wish to have a wedding photo in the area. Family's will love the many gardens.
