Take time to stop and visit this old citadel. It's truly worth the time and is impressive. They are working on renovating it.

I love the cathedral and the walls, but they need to be reconstructed, because they are old and almost ruined. Nobody was there to answer our questions, which is really bad because it has a lot of potential.

Worth a stop if you are passing through Aiud. Building work is in progress currently. The Orthodox church just behind the Citadel is worth a look as well.

This citadel is currently under - restoration so the visit can be short and not so attractive at the moment but still you can see 2 churches, several towers, a large court and smaller monuments (Hungarian exterior monument.)
