What can I tell you? We've seen over ten waterfalls in two weeks throughout Iceland that are some of the most magnificent, astounding, graceful or beautiful of the world. And today we are at another one, Seljandsfoss. Because of its proximity to Reykjavik it is another of the popular and easily accessible massive waterfalls of South Iceland. This waterfall is... We were only able to see this on our drive at night into Vik. The lights shine up on the falls and we still walked behind it and up towards the top. Beautiful and well worth it, even at night!

This is THE most beautiful waterfall. We visited on a very cold icy day. We could not get behind the falls but got close. It was very icy and slippery to walk up. But we took some close photos then got in the car and drove to the road for a few from a distance. It was beautiful from every... More

How often can you say you walk behind a giant waterfall expect this time. It's free to visit, free parking and is open all year round. If you're going to walk behind the waterfall (and I recommend you do!) Be prepared! Wear sturdy, grip worthy boots as the path is treacherous and will mean scrambling on all fours....but my goodness... More

Well worth a visit. Would recommend a trip as part of a longer visit to the glacial lagoon in jokulsarlon. Gulfoss is much bigger/better if you are short of time.

The best part is that you get to walk behind the waterfall for a different experience! Be prepared to get a little wet when doing so, but totally worth it!!! Highly recommended!!!

This is a wonderful place! For the less daring, you can walk pretty close to the waterfall and experience the force of the water. For the more daring, you can walk in behind it, and experience like no other. We were there in November, so it was raining, but here, if you're daring, you're going to get wet anyway. The... More

Just off the side of the road. Great for those that do not want to hike or walk. Beautiful! Great for pictures. You will get wet. Bring water proof clothing or a poncho. The wind blows the water in all directions.

Another beautiful waterfall. Go early to avoid the crowds. Climb steps to walk behind the waterfall for a great view. The walk back down from the fall is a little challenging as you need to climb up and down rocky floor before reaching the proper steps but definitely worth it.

Another beautiful waterfall amongst the many beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. Those traveling the South Coast will get to visit this waterfall as well as Skogafoss. This waterfall is quite narrow and tall but still stunning. Take a walk behind the waterfall if there is time.
