Amazing day out

The guide was amazing, lots of toilet and drink/lunch stops. It was great to see everything in one trip

We did this trip with a private tour guide so could spend as much or as little time at each place as we wanted and stop off to take photos at places not scheduled into the coach tours. The waterfalls and geysers were nice and interesting. As it was March and therefore still winter, there wasn't much vegetation about so... More

I was there with my husband last year. We opted to rent a car on our own and use the onboard navigation. We passed many tour buses and did our own schedule. It was a highlight of our European trip! Stunning in every way!

Its a whole day out in the countryside with a good guide you get both a geography and history tour. Its a pity they do not stop for a tea break more often

We did this trip with Bus Travel Iceland (who I discovered through a Trip Advisor review). As well as visiting the traditional Golden Circle sights of Geysir, Gullfoss and Thingvellir, we also made several other short stops to view a crater, smaller waterfall and to feed the horses! The sights were spectacular and our tour guide, Ragner (the best I... More

All the sites seem to be under-stated and not-in-your-face and just added to the natural beauty of the place. Gullfoss, the waterfalls, were stunning; Geysir, is an area of hot water springs including an awesome, regular and up-close 15-20m geyser which erupts approximately every 5 minutes. The local visitor centre has a restaurant and food centre which, considering this is... More

A friend (native Icelander) drove me on this tour in early March. It was very cold but lovely. If I was a geologist I would have loved it even more. Each of the 3 stops (at the geysir, national park and waterfall) are worth the stop, view and pictures. I left wanting to know more and read about the history... More

Very popular tour therefore very busy but still worth the trip. Doesn't feel like a tourist trap as no one is looking to wring out any money.

It is an early start with a bus pick up from your hotel. The tour then heads out of the city as dawn approaches on route to the first stop which is Thingvellir national park. Amazing views in this geologically active zone where the tectonic plates are separating creating caverns and crevices in the earth. This is beautiful especially with... More

I really enjoyed this trip. We went to the Gullfoss, the Geysirs and the national park. I loved the huge landscapes and skies. Each place visited was interesting and had a natural beauty.
