One of the most beautiful places I've ever been

This place blew my mind. Unbelievably beautiful! Wish I had more time to spend and take more pics. A must see if in Iceland!

I've never seen icebergs and its natural beauty before in my life and was able to cross this off my bucket list! The drive out here was quite long from Reykjavik ---a good 3-4 hours (each way) with mini-stops in between. It definitely helped that there were 5 of us taking turns driving to & from the Lagoon. Again, it... More

A long drive but worth it. A fantastic vista and guaranteed amazing photo opportunities. You can get very close to the glacier/ice and when we were there we saw a couple of seals playing. If you see one thing in Iceland it should be this (and the beach on the opposite side of the bridge that's an easy walk)

We spent a short while on the shore of this lagoon, and if there weren't a sight-seeing option by boat, it still would have been amazing. But getting onto the amphibious boat on land, driving along a road, then plunging into the lagoon was terrific. A zodiac operator is hovering close by at all times for safety, and the water... More

Most awesome sight. The blue color of the ice against the sky is just incredible. I could have stay the whole day if not for the strong wind. A short 2 minute drive is the stunning diamond beach. The crystal like ice against the setting sun will leave you speechless. Definitely worth the long drive to witness such a beautiful... More

Worth the long drive out to see this amazing place. You can hear the ice break, see massive chunks floating by and walk among crystal clear ice washed up on shore. Also stop across the bridge to visit "diamond beach". You won't regret coming here.

Words can almost not describe how beautiful this location is. The day we visited was extremely windy but it was still worth it. It was incredible to see the ice moving and creaking in the water, as well as to see the blue colour of the blue colour of the ice. We were also lucky enough to see three seals... More

We went there on a sunny day in the morning and hence must have seen the best. Starting from Kirkjubaejarklaustur from our hotel in less than 2 hours we reached this place. Through out the route, stunning views of Glacier melt mountains looking like a river stopped frozen halfway was great to see. In Jokulsarlon lagoon there is a small... More

If you go to Iceland this place is a must it's well worth the very long drive from Reykjavik! We couldn't go out on the boats at the lagoon has frozen over so the boats can no longer get out in to the water. We was there just before sun set and had the pleasure of watching five seals swimming... More
