Even if you are not into horses this is a lovely place to visit, the grounds are extensive & well laid out. Do take the tour as you get lots of information & it is very interesting. The Japanese Gardens are lovely. The visitor centre & cafe are good, lovely scones.

Both the wonderful Japanese Gardens and the tour of the National Stud lived up to expectations. We were given an excellent tour of the National Stud (we were lucky enough to be shown around by "the Boss"!) who provided a highly informative and (in places) humorous explanations of the workings of the Stud. Clearly the best time to visit is... More

Very nice grounds and walking trails. Former race champions living the good life. Novel done and a pleasant visit. Nice gift shop- had to buy a 'big bad bob' ball cap, named for a famous Irish champion, but since my name is also Bob- had to buy this unique memento.

The Japanese Gardens here are lovely as is all of the grounds. They give you a map so you can go around in your own. But the tour is very educational. It's an amazing business to breed, race and sell horses. They have a nice cafe where you can get hot or cold food. This is well worth the stop.

...you need to go to this very special place. Of course the horses are gorgeous and our guide funny and knowledgeable. We were here as part of a tour, wish we had more time to spend here. The gardens are so tranquil. Very special place!

This was a fascinating visit. There was a guided tour offered, and our guide, Tom, was very knowledgeable as well as engaging and entertaining. Along with the stables and grounds, there were gardens and a museum. I was very pleased I took the time for this visit.

The stud farm was part of our tour. I probably wouldn't have picked it, but was it ever great! Shaun was our guide and he told us all about the horses and Irish racing. The top horse can command 23,000 euros for "effort" He was out and we got to see him. They brought in a mare and he was... More

We visited the stud farm as part of our Celtic Tour. I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it was. We had a very enthusiastic, and humorous guide named Ellen. She explained the working of the stud farm in terms that non-horse types would understand, and provided us with lots of laughs. She has fantastic facial expressions when explaining the... More
