As an avid horse enthusiast We have visited many stud farms, and being a national stud, we expected much much more. We found the stud part quite shabby and unkempt. There is quite a lot of tidying up and maintenance needed. I visited when I...More

Thank you for your valued critique which is always welcome. As we are a semi state company we do not have the vast budgets of many of the commercial stud farms however we do like to keep up the highest possible standards. I would be...More

Our tour guide was a hoot! He was so funny and informative. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the Japanese gardens are exquisite. The horses came right up to us as we were walking along, and were gorgeous!

The day I visited it rained on and off throughout the day though didn't dampen proceedings. The Japanese gardens themselves though short, I believe are short for a reason and the 15 points marked on the tour express why. The numbered markings mark human life...More

There is indeed a café, and the gardens are big enough for a toddler to run him/herself really knackered :) Can't remember the pricing, but once you are in, you can stay for as long as you want.
