If you are into steeplechase and Ireland winners this place would interest you. There is a tour that explains the process of making winners and the economics involved. The grounds are enormous and you can spend hours walking. There are some horses to see, mostly...More

We could have gone on the guided tour, but as they were at 10-30, which we arrived too late for, and the next tour at 12-00 looked very full, we walked on our own with the helpful map. If a guided tour is really needed...More

Hi, yes we advise taking the tours especially this time of year as you correctly say there are fewer horses around. We foaled 248 foals this year but the last one was at the end of May. At the moment we have around eighty mare...More

We've visited several times over the last 20 years and it's always a pleasure. The time of year will determine if you get to see the foals in the fields of course. Going around with the Guide is a MUST DO. Jon was extremely knowledgeable...More

Great tour where we learned about horse breeding and the economics behind it. The Japanese Gardens here are also Beautiful. There are two paths you can take, "The Path of Life" and the "Easy Path". Both take you through the gardens, although the Path of...More

The stud farm was good with an excellent guide, but we've had better stud farms. The Japanese garden is the best I recall outside Japan for its one-acre size. You can easily spend a relaxing hour there walking the path of life. A good family...More

There is indeed a café, and the gardens are big enough for a toddler to run him/herself really knackered :) Can't remember the pricing, but once you are in, you can stay for as long as you want.
