Brought the kids up to see the horses. They were excited with the pumpkin trial, face painting and pony rides. Disappointed that the horses were a rarity.... also restaurant was slow, dirty and was a hassle with young kids as ques were very long. But still enjoyed day..

My mom and I are not city folk, so when our drive yourself tour booked us in Dublin, we quickly looked for day trips outside of the city. We found ourselves in Co. Kildare at the Irish National Stud and absolutely LOVED it. It was quiet and peaceful. The area is absolutely beautiful and provides a unique look at a... More

Lovely guide, very informative, dealt with the information in a very 'delicate' way, managed to inform the group in a way suitable for all, particularly considering the group included children. Suitable for all, easy even for wheelchair user to keep up with group. Restaurant easy to access. Did not attempt Japanese garden, due to time factor, but was told although... More

Unexpectedly I really enjoyed this. We went around the Japanese gardens and Irish honeycomb dwellings firstly. Your guide explains the finer point of the best of Irish bloodstock. You actually get up close to €100 million and more horses and retired champions i.e. Moscow Flyer and Beef or salmon. The guide is full of knowledge and the location is splendid.... More

Led by Ellen we toured the stud farm. We saw the studa and mares and a few other assorted horses. I learned a lot that I was not aware of. We visited the "honeymoon suite" where the deed takes place. We also toured the Japanese Gardens which were beautiful.

We stopped here on the way to Dublin to catch our flight home following an 8 day guided tour of Ireland. We didn't know what to expect, only that it had been recommended by a gentleman I came in contact with when planning our trip. They give tours every half hour that last for about 45 minutes. It is not... More

I visited this place as part of a group visit on a holiday to the Midlands of Ireland. When I read the itinerary for this day, I wasn't too keen on going as I have never had any interest in horses or the sport. However, Kyle was an excellent guide and once we had managed to slow him down a... More

Brought our grandchildren here and we had a great day. It's a very interesting place to go and the young tour guide was lovely and so knowledgeable. There is a lovely long walk around the gardens and we enjoyed a nice coffee afterwards.
