Not so good arrangement for reaching Gangasagar island, terrible crowd management at the embarkation point for jetty which can result into a stampede kind of situation any day. People are boarded on jetty like animals without any safety gear like safety jackets, etc.
REALLY LIKED VISITING THERE. A VERY QUIET PLACE AND bathing in river ganga is considered to be very holy and itis said u are free from impurities after bathing there.
for staying various dharamsalas are available

Rs.8/- per person on the ferry. The transportation cost from the disembarking point to Kapil Muni ashram depends on how you want to travel. We had hired a four wheel auto for up and down travel forRs.800/-

there is no option of taking your car to Ganga Sagar anymore as the govt has restricted it.There are 2 places from where the boats of ships take you to gangasagar and from there it's the electric autos.
