We went to Tash Rabat towards the end of our stay in Kyrgyzstan, after having travelled in the country for 10 days. We contacted Kubat and were quoted a price of 3000 som for a next-day return taxi from Naryn, which we thought reasonable. We dropped by the Kubat office to check details, and asked about yurt stay options - we... More

We were travelling in kyrgyzstan for 2 weeks and this was our absolute highlight. We stayed at nasira's yurt stay. The last One, When you pass the karavanserai. Nasira is very kind and can speak english. The food is delicious. We did a horse trekking to a lake, it takes 5 hours and is amazing. The yurts were clean and... More

Great place to stay for a couple of days! We stayed with CBT´s yurtcamp, which offered soft beds and great meals. We went for a short hike straight up the hill behind the old caravansary, which offered us great views of the valley and beyond. Definitely worth a trip if you are in Kyrgyzstan!

Not so many ancient buildings one can find in this region. Tash Rabat is among them. Old, but in good condition building was caravan saray, where traders could rest on the way from China. Built of the stone, even after nearly thousand years later it still worth to make road to it.

If you are traveling through Kyrgyzstan, and want to learn about it's great history and see the most incredible views KG has to offer, travel down the Silk Road to Tash Rabat. Tash Rabat is said to have an "uncountable" amount of rooms in the building, so take a shot and try for yourself. Tash Rabat is claimed to be... More

The Tash Rabat is a bit of a mystery, who built it, why and who stayed there? It is a very special place high in the mountain passes on the silk roads. I stayed in a beautiful yurt where we were served delicious supper and breakfast, getting up in the clear, thin morning air and watching herds of horses and... More

Tash Rabat is the best preserved caravanserai that I have visited. Inside is a labyrinth of over 30 rooms, including a jail in one of the room’s floor. It is built into the hillside in a picturesque valley in the foothills of the Tian Shan. At one time you could travel through the valley from the main Naryn road to... More

We loved the area of Tash-Rabat. We camped up on the mountain bluff overlooking the area and each morning heard the men on horses taking the livestock across the river and intro the pastures. The building of the Silk Road Caravansaray itself is not that much to see, but if you try to transport yourself to the world of the... More

Tash Rabat is probably the most well preserved and impressive caravansari left in the world. And the location is spectacular - you really feel like you have gone back to a time when the caravansari sheltered a collection of local herders and intrepid travelers glad to have a roof for the evening on an otherwise long, difficult trip. Plan to... More

One of the highlights of our trip was staying at a Yurt camp below Tash Rabat. We wanted to ride horses in the beautiful valley so they rounded them up--they were just roaming free and grazing. They had lots of blankets on their backs and were not hard to control as my husband feared. The scenery is so spectacular--you don't... More
