Good information and fun experience.

Learned a lot on this tour. Funny guide. The only problem was the ship only took cash for snacks. There was an ATM at the ticket booth before you got on board. Did the 2:00 tour which got hot on the way back but there is an air conditioned room also. Might do the dinner cruise next time.

Well worth a visit
May 2021 • Couples
First- check out the outdoor sculptures.

The museum hosts a variety of exhibitions- there is a traveling show on T Rex from New York City opening in a few weeks.
We enjoyed a show showcasing 101 treasures from the permanent collection.
They ran the gamut from contemporary art to a Dutch genre painting to master graphics.
Check out the dinosaur heavy gift shop- obviously getting ready for the T Rex show

Outdoor Exhibits of Modern Art
Nov 2020
Peoria Riverfront Museum is a very interesting and exciting place to visit, for people of any age, really. The history of the city, its economic, social, and cultural development -- all this is excellently presented in its exhibits and artefacts. During the pandemic the museum organized Virtual Tours, and since March 2021 it is open to public.

The outdoor exhibits of modern art are perfectly located and presented, mostly at the riverfront part of the museum, with panoramic views of the Illinois River. I visited the site in November of last year, and had a self-tour of sorts, admiring many exhibits of modern art, mainly sculptural compositions, that are excellently placed on the lawn, bordering SW Water Street.

The museum is located in a historic Warehouse District of Peoria, and its modern design strongly contrasts an overall historic ambiance of the area. The scenic views of the Illinois River, Murray Baker Bridge and East Peoria are very attractive.

I love to take my Grandchildren and it helps them understand the history of Peoria. Plus they enjoy the children's area where they are able to run around and play the games!

Went for the Guitars
Nov 2020 • Family
We came for the Guitar exhibit - which was amazing. I’m guessing the planetarium is great, but we didn’t check it out. Little kids will want some hands on things that were closed while we were there - so maybe check that out prior.

This is a really great little museum. They have a dome planetarium also and have shows in it at different times. There is also a 3 D theater but I have not been there yet. Really love this place! Great for little kids too. There is a concession stand and a nice seating area also

Traveling Da Vinci exhibit
Jan 2020
The Da Vinci exhibit was incredible! The genius of the man was beyond question. His inventions, his art and his relentless pursuit of the truth was magnificent. The focus piece of the Mona Lisa was very interesting and had a twist! Family friendly and disabled friendly. Highly recommended while it is still in town!

Excellent place to spend an afternoon for all ages.
Nov 2019
Our family loves this museum. From the Giant Screen Theatre to the permanent as well as temporary exhibits there is always something to learn and experience. The museum store is also a great resource for interesting gifts, especially fun, educational stuff for kids! The special events held at the planetarium are also a great way to spend an evening with friends.
