A beautiful view of the river, a passage from one side to the other if you are cycling,. This is a TAXI. Not a tour guide. I love it and find it extremely relaxing. If you are expecting a narration from the Captain try the...More

This water taxi operates hourly with 2 stops in Moline and 2 stops on the Iowa side. Perhaps because of the locks, there is no stop in Rock Island or downtown Davenport. That said, the water taxi gets you up close and in the mighty...More

What can you expect for $7? not much, you are zipped across the Mississippi on a large pontoon boat. No commentary from the first mate or captain, just a windy trip on the big river. There was an inspiring handicap group aboard, otherwise a waste...More

Yes, this is very economical at only $8/person. No, it's not very exciting. It will take you to 5 different drop off areas, however, there isn't much to see at 4 of them. Unless you wish to walk many miles to find an occasional store...More

We have taken the Channel Cat ride numerous times, especially when we have out of town guests. It is a fun, inexpensive, relaxing way to see the Quad Cities from the Mississippi River.

My husband and I took our kids age 2-15 on a afternoon riding the Channal Cat and we made brief stops at different ports to have lunch and shop around. It was an inexpensive way to spend a summer weekend day.

Great to cruise around on the river. Great stops at East Davenport and Moline (walk 4 blocks south to downtown). !!Avoid Happy Joe's restaurant east of Moline. Overpriced and horrible service.!!

Is a great little trip around the ports of the Mississippi in Quad Cities. Grand children loved it. Each stop showed more of the river culture. Always fun to watch boat navigate the waters.

I've been on the Channel Cat many times and it's always enjoyable. My favorite thing to do is to get on the boat in Moline (where I live) and get off next to the Village of East Davenport. Then we walk to the Village and...More
