The place is visited by day-trippers from Sorong at the weekends. It is simply a small village with homestays and a few independent dive operators. People jump off the jetty but there is little to see as the site needs deeper access to be valued....More

Arborek, about 1.5 hours by boat from Waisai, is a very small island-village, in fact a sand cay, in Raja Ampat with population below 300. Walking around it takes less than an hour. An award-winning, model tourist village with plentiful fishes and nice corals right...More

A nice remote settlement with several places to stay if you can afford the transport to get out here. A single dive shop in operation, a good dive spot close to the shore and several homestays dot the island.

What a beautiful little island. It was Sunday so no one was around but we walked the length of the town and were amazed at the landscaping and the sweet houses.

This was great diving. Lots of coral under the jetty. This place had several very large clams. The village was a cool place to walk around and they had a bathroom! We also did one night dive near here.

Excellent diving under the jetty, also great for snorkeling. Beautiful place for a surface interval. Lovely little village, beautiful beach, little shop, and a few homestays. It's a wonderfulplace to spend a few nights if you have the time.

Arborek wasn’t initially on my list of places to visit in Raja Ampat, but turned out to be one of my favorites. The village itself is probably the most beautiful I have seen in Papua and very clean (thanks to a program involving local children...More
