Great roller coasters and close for an afternoon or day of fun !! Close to the expressway, very good parking, everything that you would expect in an amusement park. Friday nights are the best to go !!!

I am still in there in my dreams. That was such a good park. Go to the rides from the very first seats. That is much more crazy and fun !

This six flags is great! The people were friendly even on a busy day. The rides were so much fun! The food was good and there are healthy options available. The restrooms were the cleanest I have ever used in a six flags park, I...More

This was the third time that we visited the park. Twice on the weekends and once on a weekday. Weekday experience was nice since you get to enjoy the rides without waiting in the line for a couple of hours. The park on the weekends...More

This park has a couple of the best coasters I've ridden, but doesn't offer the same family-friendly mix of rides found at competitors' parks. With phenomenal theme parks in Ohio and Kentucky, Great America needs to step up its high-quality, family-friendly game in order to...More

Very clean. Great decorations, characters, shows, haunted houses. After dark if younger kids are easily scared you may want to leave. They do warn about that. Lots of great coasters.

Six Flags in IL has really improved their roller coasters! Drove from MI to do their glow 5k run opening weekend. The run was fun but a bit contested in areas, couldn't really "run". Disappointed the new joker ride wasn't open for opening weekend! The...More

Anyone use flash pass? I been to great America many times but I'm thinking about buying flash pass this visit. I know there are three tiers. Can't decide which. But has anyone used them and explain something I was wondering about.... let's say u buy the lowest tier. And you get to the ride and reserve your spot. They tell us come back in 1 hour. Then Can I keep on going to next ride and reserve another spot? Their website doesn't state if it's one reservation per ride at a time.

Hey there, when deciding on tiers id recommend thinking about the time of year you are going. If it is in the middle of summer when all the kids are off school id get the tier 1 flash pass as you can just hop on the ride and... More

So we plan on going Sept. 2nd and was wondering how busy of a day this would be? Should i change my plans and go during the week for it to be less crowded? Otherwise was thinking Aug.17th would be best next day to go since the park is closed the end of Aug. And we want to enjoy the Waterpark as well. Thanks..

Being that 9/2 is labor day weekend the park will be mobbed. If the weather is good, Hurricane Harbor will quickly reach capacity and they will close it to more visitors. Many people will come to Gurnee for the 3 day weekend... More
How does parking work if you have a season pass? Are you required to show your id? Will there be a lot of people on Easter Sunday this year on there sneak preview weekend? What shows will be playing? Do they have a 4d movie adventure? I purchased everything on line and then come to find out there are $2 coupons for the sports drink container. If I bring it with me when we get our bottles will they refund $2 for each bottle?

The parking passes are $22, but free with multiple pass purchases. A season pass for drinks is $16, but you have to bring the cup on the visit
